Whilst I love talking boats, adventures and what I can offer our guests, the idea of selling myself makes me a little squeamish! But, here we go:

I wasn’t naturally attracted to sailing.

My folks forced me to attend an intensive dinghy sailing course when I was just 10 years old and I never looked back. Absolutely loved it and that was it – bitten by the bug!

Through my teens I became a competitive dinghy racer (starting through Mirrors, then moving through Toppers, Lasers and other high performance single handers), and achieved some good results on the schools, regional and national circuits.

At 16 I opted to bypass the mainstream educational trends and instead, studied traditional boat building techniques at the Falmouth Marine School.

It was during these studies that I met my partner Anna who now, almost 30 years later, is my wife and mother of our two daughters. We have sailed together for many thousands of miles.

Meanwhile, I’ve been the helm of a successful, albeit non-marine related business, which was recently sold as part of a management buyout.

My love of life has always been sailing orientated, and I’m delighted to now be in a position to share my passion with like-minded sailors on a permanent basis.
